Let’s be real: the incredibly busy fall season often has us white knuckling our grip on life and burned out by the end of the year.

As summer’s sweetness feels like it’s coming to an end and your “regular” work/school schedule and responsibilities begin again,

you might be feeling compelled to “do more self-care” to help yourself deal with it all.

What if I told you that you don’t have to?

What if I told you, even with your schedule getting busier this fall, you could adjust and feel more resourced, grounded, spacious, in control, capable, uplifted, stable, and whatever else you desperately need?

The truth is, most of us try to push through, add more to our plate, and attempt to Balance all of our competing priorities.

You know, because society tells us more is better and that we should be master jugglers of all the things.

But really, it’s not about doing more self-care (or doing it perfectly).

It’s about:

  • Deepening the support of the practices you’re already doing through simple adjustments.

  • Basing your self-care actions on how you’re feeling, your bandwidth and capacity.

  • Leaning on guidance and community so you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

Wanna know what happens when you do this? You’ll resource yourself throughout the fall AND decrease the amount of burnout you feel at the end of this year.

Hi, I’m Steff!

I am a liberation-focused well-being educator, Ayurveda Yoga Specialist, Self-Care Coach, Mental Health & Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher, writer, owner of Steff Gallante Self-Care, and host of the podcast, Humaning: the shit we need to talk about.

My work centers on disrupting the messaging of white supremacy culture on health, self-care, fitness, and mental health.

I teach academic classes at Rutgers University in the Department of Kinesiology and Health and facilitate well-being workshops for businesses, organizations, universities, conferences, yoga studios, and festivals.

My holistic approach guides clients towards creating a lifestyle of mindful self-care focused on intentional and sustainable well-being practices that are aligned to their specific needs and support their mental, emotional, physical, and energetic health without ties to the harmful systems that govern mainstream western culture.

I created the Fall Back to Yourself Series from this perspective with yoga teachers, practitioners, and anyone wanting to begin a practice in mind!

to be completely transparent:

This series is NOT about adding to your too full plate.

Here’s what the Fall Back to Yourself Series is about:

  • Learning simple shifts to what you’re already doing that will help you honor fall’s energy and how it affects you.

  • Creating flexibility in your self-care with options based on your energy, bandwidth, and capacity.

  • Adjusting your yoga practices to align with the characteristics of fall and the energy you’re feeling to move toward harmony and ease.

  • Understanding how to meet yourself through your self-care practices when you have an excess of unsettled, angry/hot, unmotivated/lethargic energy.

4 sessions | live | online | captioned | recorded

Pricing: $50 - $65 - $80

I have really struggled with slowing down, not overcommitting, and learning how to rest to rejuvenate.  The hardest part of my self-care practice is granting myself grace.

So, coming back to these two simple things: the season is 3 months long and that I can balance myself with flexibility in my yoga practice and seasonal eating does a lot for me. Since this session, my practices have been really balanced.

Since working with Steff, I’ve learned that self-care really means to take care of oneself each and every day through small practices that help me to do all the things that matter to me, including being present in my home and work life.

For the first time in a long time, I’m not panicking about the new term starting. I have some anxiety but I’m taking pauses and taking my time, rather than rushing, feeling guilty, or not sleeping.

  • This expense will not threaten my ability to meet my basic needs. Yet, since I have some disposable income that I can choose how to spend, I may have to make sacrifices, including eating out, replacing items, buying new things. etc.

  • I am financially secure to pay this amount. I will still be able to meet my basic needs as well as enjoy new purchases, eating out, going to events, and buying new things. I may have to account for it, but I can afford it.

  • I have financial freedom and can pay this amount or more as I am in a position to be generous with my money. I rarely have to worry about spending because I meet my needs and wants easily and do not typically have to consider a financial sacrifice.

I really appreciated the spaciousness that you offered around accessing these inquiries and welcoming a sense of equanimity and compassion with not knowing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in a digestible and relatable manner.
— Zane Ali (they/them)
Before working with Steff, I felt pretty scattered and stressed out. I was juggling a lot and the pressure felt insurmountable. This year, my focus word is “leisure,” and by prioritizing this as much as I can, I’ve spent more time crafting, going to movies, taking long walks, and doing other things that add ease to my life.
