Capitalism is asking you to do more.

Nature is asking you to listen.

Rethink what self-care can look like this fall.

recalibrate?

recalibrate?

September is a time of recalibration after the intense light, heat, and mobility of the summer months and a shift into autumn’s cool, dry, often unpredictable qualities.

For many, it’s also a recalibration in life from a slower-paced, more spacious and relaxed, and enjoyment-focused summer time back to a more demanding and rigorous work schedule, more responsibilities, and, dare I say it, the hustle and grind.

And although recalibrate sounds nice, maybe even easy in theory, it’s hella hard in action.

It can be difficult to find your footing during the fall.

And the horrors of the upside down times just make it all harder to navigate the day to day of life, including your self-care.

It’s like you’re getting carried away by the current (or raging waters?) until things finally slow down at the end of the year.

You might be thinking,

“Steff, the problem is: I don’t want to live life like that, but as the horrors persist, energy, time, money, (and honestly,) fucks to give when it comes to my care, are waning.”

Of course they are. But, that’s not a problem you created.

These are impossible times to live in. And the stress of it all can feel so overwhelming, not to mention isolating.

As a result, you may be thinking that you have to give up, give in, or wait for the current to subside.

And I have to ask you: What have you already decided is impossible when it comes to caring for yourself this fall?

The truth is, the path towards liberation in our care starts with thoughts.

The way we think about self-care.

What we’ve already decided is or isn’t possible.

What we think self-care is supposed to look like.

What we think it’s supposed to feel like.

What we think meaningful, successful self-care looks like.

What if thinking differently about self-care made more of what you want possible?

From the start of September, you can start planting seeds to create connection and a framework of steadiness from the inside out, using nature as your sidekick.

What people are saying

about Self-Care for These Times:

“My greatest take away was the shared experiences with the concept of "over correction" in terms of self care. It is a default I often revert to each time I become aware of my body and nervous system's bids to slow the spinning of the hamster wheel of life.

The invitation to return to grace for myself, along with the gentle instruction during the workshop was a gift.”
